Global Shutter Sensors with Single-Exposure High Dynamic Range

Brillnics has developed several single-exposure high dynamic range (SEHDR) CMOS image sensors with conventional analog pixel sensor (APS) approach, that employ a triple pixel-gain scheme, the LOFIC (lateral overflow integration capacitor) scheme and time-to-saturation (TTS) quantization scheme
Contrary to the conventional multiple-exposure high dynamic range (MEHDR) scheme, the SEHDR scheme needs only one exposure in a frame. This feature fits nicely with the nature of the global shutter (GS) sensor
In this presentation, key concepts and implementation of the SEHDR schemes in the GS sensor, including a digital pixel sensor (DPS), will be addressed
